Teti-Sheri is our Dam.  She is a Ruddy Abyssinian.  Her pedigree name is Pinegrove Nullabor Fleur and she has been successful in attaining Champion status under the GCCF Regulations.   She is extremely good natured and affectionate with other cats and

human beings.

We have named Teti-sheri after the XVIIth Dynasty queen of Egypt.  The historical Teti-sheri was the wife of Sequenenre Tao I and as the mother of Sequenenre Tao II  who died fighting the Hyksos and the grandmother of Kamose and  ’Ahmose I who were successful in finally expelling the foreign invaders and reunifying the two lands of Kemet, her modern description as the “Mother of the New Kingdom” is well founded.  She lived to be 70 years old and amongst many honours granted to her was the building of a cenotaph at  the religious centre of Abydos

A statuette of the Queen which has resided in the British Museum collection since 1890, appears below.  Although the authenticity of this piece has been questioned in recent years it does appear to have been based on a broken statue of the Queen, now in Paris and its place in the history of Egyptology continues to provide a vivid image of the elegant but indomitable Queen Teti-sheri.
